0

I am using ASUS laptop with Windows 7 ultimate edition. I am unable to connect my laptop from another computer using RDC.

I have started following services

  • Routing and Remote Access
  • Remote Access Connection Manager
  • Remote Procedure Call

but still the issue exists.

Can anyone tell me what am I missing ?

@abhaych

Why don't you try rebuilding your Windows 7 user profile.

Rebuilding profile can resolve many issues related to drivers and other local data.

To rebuild your profile follow steps from this website

Hope this will help.

Is your windows firewall ON?

Yes:Make sure you have allowed inbound and outbound remote desktop connections.

If these rules are not allowing incoming connections, you will never be able to connect your computer from other for remote connection.

I was facing the same issue and found these steps useful for me,

As of the solution please do this:

In command prompt (with admin privileges) execute this command line

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

Secondly run this command to enable the disabled service

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

This should resolve your issue.
